Status: Extended

Development of the Nuclotron Accelerator Complex

Leader:   A.D. Kovalenko
A.I. Malakhov

Scientific Programme:
Providing polarized deuteron beams at the Nuclotron with intensities up to 10 9 pps. Extension of heavy ion beams available for physics experiments. Development of new superconducting magnets for rapid cycling heavy-ion synchrotrons and beam transport channels. Construction of prototype magnets for the booster rings. Works on the replacement of conventional magnets by superconducting ones along the beam line VP1.

Expected main results in 2006:
